Customization / Wallpaper / Science Fiction

The asteroids have traveled through space for thousands of years since they were last visited and captured on this [link] photograph.

This is probably my longest piece in progress so far. Started this out late April or early June. Never managed to satisfy myself. Here it is though, finally!

1920x1080 wallpaper.

Original resulution 3500x2000, +1gb working document (way more than my computer can actually handle).

Some fractals, 95% brushwork though. VUE 7 and PS CS.

Oh man I'm so using this as a wallpaper, if you don't mind. It's brilliant and I've always had a thing for space and the stars. It looks so astral and beautiful.

I really dig the nebula and stars, but the asteroid not so much. If there were a "no asteroid" version if would definitely replace my current wallpaper.

Great work! overall i really like this piece, if I can nitpick one thing though: the trails of the spaceships appear to defy perspective, either that or the rocks are really confusing looking
